GENERAL REGULATIONS

"It is allowed to buy non-prohibited cutlery items in establishments that are dedicated to the commercialization of cutlery items and transport it to your home through the different means of transport. For this, it is necessary to take into account the different regulations in force when carrying them. Currently it is Royal Decree 137/1993, January 29, Weapons Regulation which regulates the possession, use, sale, advertising, circulation, importation and manufacture of what are considered knives".

CAR

Up to 11 cm of blade you can carry it as long as you travel to perform a sporting, hunting or leisure activity in which you need to use the knife.

You cannot carry it in the car, to go to places of leisure (discotheques, pubs, concerts, etc.), protests or any other activity incompatible with the carrying of the knife, or for personal defence.

From 11 cm of blade you can carry it in the trunk as long as it is in its box or packaging and with the purchase ticket or gift card, during the journey from the place of purchase to the household or place where it will be stored.

*Remember that if you are on the legal age and you acquire the knife in an Albacete’s store, they are perfectly legal as they are controlled by the Civil Guard.

TRAIN

ADIF SECURITY CONTROL.

Handicraft items that may be considered weapons, within 72 hours after their acquisition, a period to be justified with the ticket or purchase invoice, and always properly packaged and sealed by the retailer, may be admitted in the security checkpoints.

The person transporting them will be identified.

Folding knives and fixed knives with blades shorter than 6 cm and scissors whose blades are shorter than 6 cm in length from the screw to the tip, may be admitted in the security controls.

AIRPLAIN

When traveling by airplain, remember that it is forbidden to carry any weapon and/or sharp or edged object in your carry-on baggage.

Therefore, you will have to carry your cutlery items inside your checked baggage, preferably well packed.

*Remember that if you are on the legal age and you buy the knife in an Albacete’s store, they are perfectly legal as they are controlled by the Civil Guard.
